We can’t all be Natalie Portman, shouting out all the female directors overlooked for an Academy Award in custom-embroidered Dior, but we can support the women who are bossing their way through life right here in San Francisco. First up, Jenny Lemons and Nettle Studios are hosting a sample sale at Jenny Lemons store in the Mission, (3043 24th Street) on Saturday, February 15 and Sunday, February 16. Then, on Saturday, February 22, The Assembly (449 14th Street) is offering a geographically simplified solution for shopping with women-owned businesses by hosting a multi-brand warehouse sale in their gorgeous co-working space.

Jenny Lemons and Nettle Studios

Jenny Lemons is a small-batch clothing company run by San Francisco based artist Jennie Lennick. Nettle Studios, another local, sustainable apparel brand, is the brainchild of Alex Lunt and Lili Pham. Both companies will be serving up steep discounts this weekend at their slow fashion closet and sample sale. The sale runs Saturday, February 15, from 11 am-7 pm and Sunday, February 16, from 11 am-6 pm.

While admission to the sale is free, you can pay $10 for an early admission ticket on Saturday. That fee will get you in the door at 9 am— two hours before anyone else. VIP admission is available on Verlocal.

The Assembly Sale

Ali Golden, Bells & Becks, Frances Austen, Gravel & Gold, Jenny Pennywood, Kin Label, Le Point, Micaela Greg, Modern Citizen, and Voyager Shop are setting up shop at The Assembly on Saturday, February 22 from 10 am to 3 pm and serving up discounts up to 80 percent off retail. Early access from 10 am until 12 pm is reserved for Assembly members, but you can also buy your way in for $10. At 12 pm, the doors fly up for general admission, and the shopping party will continue until 3 pm. Sign up for early access here or general admission here.
