Love Me, Love My (Local) Pajamas
I see no reason why pajamas should be limited to ratty, threadbare t-shirts. If you want to sleep in a holey reminder of your college years, by all means rock your nostalgia. But if think you should be just as fabulous when you're unconscious as you are during your waking hours, these homegrown brands will keep you looking cute during your REM cycle. Below, find them organized from the most least to most expensive. See something you love? Click on an image to shop!
Old Navy Satin Polka Dot Separates, $16.99 each
Old Navy goes hard in its holiday PJ promotions, but the San Francisco based budget-brand keeps cute sleepwear in stock all year. Case in point: this satin polka dot top and short set. The shirt is your classic men's pajama cut, with a tiny dot pattern and contrast piping for extra whimsy. The pull-on short (link here) feels appropriate for spring, even if San Francisco enjoys the same chilly evenings practically year-round.
Gap Sleepy Lashes Pajama Separates, $29.95-$44.95
Raise your hand if you've ever considered buying an eyelash eye mask like the one Holly Golightly wore in Breakfast at Tiffany's. Think of these sleepy lashes cami and pant separates as a wink to that Audrey classic. Satin and millennial pink, these check off all of the Instagrammable reqs for sleepwear.
Third Love Dolman Tee and Short Set, $98
Perhaps I'm blinded by my obsession with their outstanding bras, but ThirdLove has done a top-notch job with its cozy, minimalist loungewear. This set is exactly what you want to wear while you're binge-watching Netflix, and you'll still look cute when you have to answer the door for your Caviar delivery.
Les Lunes George V Nightdress, $118
Les Lunes major selling point is softness: everything from the brand feels like it could be sleepwear, including the actual sleepwear. This nightdress is no exception. A lot of nighties with cutouts and embellishments are more about form than function, but this number oozes comfort. The lace trim is soft, stretchy, and not the least bit itchy. (Psst...it's available in six colors if blue's not your thing.)
Stevie Howell Xoloti Blue Verano Set, $130
Stevie Howell pajamas are what I would describe as absurdly expensive, but they're beautiful if you don't mind dropping $300-$500 on your loungewear. With their bright patterns and high quality cottons and silks, you could arguably wear some of these in the real world, too. (I've seen stylists sporting Stevie's silk PJs as part of the pajama dressing trend.) While this cotton set usually retails for $300, it's on sale for the relatively reasonable $130.
Natalie Deayala Silk Pajamas, $198
Natalie Deayala mainly focuses on bridesmaid dresses and ready to wear, but she also makes hella cute silk pajamas. (They're suggested as a bridesmaid gift.) Because they're made to order, you'll have to wait 2-4 weeks for these short-sleeved short sets. Choose from one of four colors, or get a custom color combo if you're ordering for your 'maids.
