Cuyana has done a damn good job with branding. You can hardly mention the company without someone citing its "fewer, better" mantra. Cuyana describes it as "the foundation of everything we do." When it comes to their products, they try to create timeless, well-made pieces from premium materials. Scroll through Cuyana's website, and you won't discover a zillion new styles or colors each day, but you'll probably find yourself wanting all of the few pieces on offer.

This weekend, you can live that dream.

Cuyana is hosting its San Francisco sample sale on Saturday, August 25, from 8am–3 pm at 2948 16th Street in the Mission. The sale will include bags, accessories and clothing from past seasons, with prices starting at $25. You have to shop in person—sorry, no online sale this time—and bring your debit/credit card. They will not be taking cash.

Based on past experience, I recommend going for the bag and leather goods options more than the apparel selection. Brides, this sale is a goldmine for bridesmaid gifts. (Think leather clutches and tech sleeves and whatnots.) I've also seen people stock up for holiday gifting in the accessories section. If you're on the hunt for clothes, and you don't already know your sizes, stop by Cuyana's Union Square shop (291 Geary Street, #201) to try on pieces before Saturday. It will save you the time and heartache of attempting to size at a sample sale.

The best of the best goes early, so be there when the sale opens if you have your heart set on a particular piece. And if you want to win a chance to skip the line and head straight into the sale, be sure to RSVP on Facebook.
